Springtime at Brooklyn Flea

I read about Brooklyn Flea market in Country Living magazine. Once I saw “crafts” and “antiques”, of course I just had to go!

I ended up there on Easter Sunday, and yes, it was open. Held in a beautiful, historic building of Williamsburgh Savings Bank, the flea market was hopping! And even though I didn’t unearth any vintage treasures, it was definitely worth a trip: seeing the building was a special treat, and dozens of vendors had many tempting fares, from vintage salvage and upcycle to Etsy-type crafts.

Antique Dolls Museum in Moscow, Russia (Part I)

On my recent trip to Moscow, Russia, I found a “hidden gem” among Moscow’s many museums—an amazing, one-room museum devoted to antique dolls. The museum houses a small, but impressive collection of French, German, English and a few Russian dolls from the 1860s to present day.

The admission is free, and it’s well-worth a visit. I took numerous photos of antique dolls and are happy to share them with you here.
